Answer:

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you did not include the article, a link to it, the name of the article, or the author.

However, trying to help you, we can comment on the following.

We are assuming you are talking about the history of aviation.

So let's go back in time and place our first date in 1903 when the famous Wright brothers -Oliver and Wilbur- made the first controlled flight against all odds.

In 1919, and after many tries, there was a major goal accomplished when the airplane NC4 crossed the Atlantic Ocean for the first time.

Here comes Charles Lindgergb. In 1927, he literally flew solo. He piloted a nonstop flight from New York to France. The nave of the airplane: the Spirit of St. Louis.

Passenger flights crossing the Atlantic Ocean started in the 1940s and increased in the 1950s.

One decade later, in 1960, the impressive 747 was released by Pan American Airlines, one of the most renowned companies of that time.

In 'The Story of an Hour," how does the plot event of Brently Mallard's supposed death
drek231 [11]

Answer and Explanation:

"The Story of an Hour" is a short story by author Kate Chopin. Mrs. Mallard is the main character, and a great deal of the story concerns her thoughts and feelings.

Her character is quickly and deeply developed through an important event: the supposed death of her husband, Brently Mallard. Only Mrs. Mallard does not know it is just "supposed". She is told it is a sure thing that her husband has died. The news is conveyed in a most careful manner since she has a heart condition that may kill her in case she receives shocking information.

Upon locking herself up in her room to think and mourn, Mrs. Mallard's character undergoes a most amazing transformation. Unlike what anyone had expected, she realizes her husband's death has actually set her free. She is no longer someone's subservient wife. She no longer needs to ask for his opinion and to abide by his rules and decisions. She is her own person now, free to be and do whatever she likes. Her sister and friend are outside, thinking she is crying her eyes out, while Mrs. Mallard is in fact looking out the window, realizing the world has not stopped turning because of Brently's death. Life goes on, and so does she. She is the happiest she has ever been.

Which sentence uses consistent verb tenses in telling a story?
lilavasa [31]
If you want to use consistent verb tenses in telling a story, that means you have to use the same tense, or at least they all should be in the past/present/future, depending on the first verb in the sentence. Here, the correct answer is:
B) I met Rob for the first time in the school infirmary, and he smiled at me even though he was clearly in pain.
