What is the value of the expression "two less than six times the difference of a number and five" when n = 9?
Burka [1]

Answer: The value of the expression when n=9 is 22

Step-by-step explanation:

In this case, you need to remember that:

1. Tthe word "less than" indicates a subtraction.

2.  By definition, the "Difference" in the result of a subtraction.

3. The word "times" indicates multiplication,

Based on the information given above, you know that  " Six times the difference of a number and five" can be expressed as:

6(n-5)

Then,  "Two less than six times the difference of a number and five" can be represented with this expression:

6(n-5)-2

Now you can substitute n=9 into the expression and the evaluate in order to find the value of the expression. This is:

6(9-5)-2=6(4)-2=24-2=22

How do i find the sides?
Anton [14]
These triangles are either 45 45 90 triangles or 30 60 90 triangles

For the 45 45 90 triangles the smaller sides are
s and the large one is s times the square root of two

For 30 60 90 the smallest side is s the hypotenuse is 2s and the last one is s root 3

For example 1. X is 7 the hypotenuse is 14

The sides on 2 are 6 Times Square root of 2

3. The sides are 3 each

Debora drove 400 miles on her vacation. She drove an average of 1.5 times faster in the second 200 miles of her trip than she di
vodomira [7]
t=\dfrac{s}{v}
Time, she spent driving the first 200 miles:
\dfrac{200}{x}
Time, she spent driving the second 200 miles:
\dfrac{200}{1.5\cdot x}

Total time:
\dfrac{200}{x}+\dfrac{200}{1.5\cdot x}=\dfrac{200}{x}\cdot \dfrac{1.5}{1.5}+\dfrac{200}{1.5\cdot x}=\dfrac{300}{1.5\cdot x}+\dfrac{200}{1.5\cdot x}=\dfrac{500}{1.5\cdot x}=\boxed{\dfrac{1000}{3\cdot x}}

2. Find the area of the sector.<br> Use 3.14 for pi<br> Round answer to one decimal place
Amanda [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

area of sector = {Ф ( in degrees)/360}πr²

Ф = 60

π=3.14

r=10

area = (60/360) x 3.14 x 10²

= (1/6)x3.14 x100 = (1/6)x314= 314/6 = 52.33
