Which of the following was not highly respected in spartan society
Licemer1 [7]

Answer: b. Luxuries.

Explanation:

Sparta was a city-state in Greece that was known for its military power, considered the best in Greece. Their power in the land and the naval battle was mythical, and therefore, they had a very favorable position throughout Greece.

Sparta's social system favored military development in all its institutions, from the manufacture of weapons to the military training of children from a very young age. This is why Spartan society was not interested in luxuries, even its women were raised under a society that favored mainly the military power.

SCORPION-xisa [38]
Western Christendom

This was the project of the "scholastics" (or "schoolmen" - what we would call academics) of the Middle Ages.  They explored and analyzed the doctrines of Christianity from a philosophical perspective, drawing not only on philosophical thinking from early church fathers (notably Augustine), but also and especially the thought of Greek philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle.  Thomas Aquinas was enormously influential in bringing an Aristotelian perspective to the theology of the Roman Catholic church.
