This is an ODE of the form y' + P(x)y = Q(x)
IF = e^{ \int\limits {P(x)} \, dx }=e^{ \int\limits {2x} \, dx }=e^{x^2}
Multiply through by IF
e^{x^2}y'+2xe^{x^2}y=2x^3e^{x^2} \\ (e^{x^2}y)'=2x^3e^{x^2} \\  \int {(e^{x^2}y)'} \, dx = \int {2x^3e^{x^2}} \, dx  \\ e^{x^2}y=x^2e^{x^2}-e^{x^2} + c \\ y=c_1e^{-x^2}+x^2-1
But y(0) = 1
1=c_1e^{-(0)^2}+(0)^2-1 = c_1-1 \\ c_1=1+1=2
Therefore, solution is
 y=2e^{-x^2}+x^2-1

Beth corbin's regular hourly wage are is $16,and she receives an hourly rate of $24 for work in excess of 40 hours. During a Jan
fiasKO [112]

Answer:

$760 gross

$614.13 is net

Step-by-step explanation:

Beth earns $16 x 40 for the first 40 hours she works.

Then she earns overtime--> 5 hours at $24 per hour

Her "gross" earnings are before any deductions or taxes.

So 16x40 = 640 and 5x24= 120 so her January gross earnings are 640+120=

$760 gross

Her "net" pay is what is left over after taxes.

So take the $760 and subtract the $95 withholding = $665

Taxes are 7.65% so multiply 665 x 0.0765 = 50.8725 and subtract that also.

614.1275 rounded to $614.13 is net.

14. Boyle’s Law states that when a sample of gas is compressed at a constant temperature, the pressure P of the gas is inversely
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

dV/dt = 100 cm³/min

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

V = 728 cm³

P = 182 kPa

dP/dt = - 25 kPa/min

dV/dt = ?

If we apply the ideal gas equation

P*V = n*R*T

where n*R*T is constant

we have

d(P*V)/dt = d(n*R*T)/dt

⇒ d(P*V)/dt = 0

⇒ V*(dP/dt) + P*(dV/dt) = 0

⇒ dV/dt = - (V/P)*(dP/dt)

Plugging the known values we obtain

⇒ dV/dt = - (728 cm³/182 kPa)*(- 25 kPa/min)

⇒ dV/dt = 100 cm³/min

Perimeter of a rectangle is 98 in. width is 22 in. what is the length of the rectangle
RUDIKE [14]
The perimeter of a rectangle is all sides added together so if the total is 98in than you would subtract 44 for the two widths and get 54 then divide 54 by 2 and get the length to be 27
