First, Jamestown and Plymouth were only found 13 years apart from each-other. Jamestown was founded during the month of April 1607 and Plymouth was found in 1620.
SIMILARITIES Jamestown and Plymouth both had around 100 people but in the winter, half of them died.
They both set up a form of representative government
Harsh winters occurred in both locations.
DIFFERENCES
Jamestown was founded to find gold and establish trade. Plymouth wanted religious freedom and opportunity for separatist.
Jamestown had the "House Of Burgesses" as first representative government. Plymouth had self government with mayflower compact.
