Explanation:

Mechanical Defenses

The first line of defense in plants is an intact and impenetrable barrier composed of bark and a waxy cuticle. Both protect plants against herbivores. Other adaptations against herbivores include hard shells, thorns (modified branches), and spines (modified leaves). They discourage animals by causing physical damage or by inducing rashes and allergic reactions. Some Acacia tree species have developed mutualistic relationships with ant colonies: they offer the ants shelter in their hollow thorns in exchange for the ants’ defense of the tree’s leaves.

On which cell types do antibodies exist as transmembrane proteins?
Kamila [148]
I believe that on the Naive B-cell the antibodies exist as transmembrane proteins. A naive b-cell is a type of b-cell that has not been exposed to an antigen. When exposed it becomes either a memory B cell or a plasma cell that secrete antibodies specific to the antigen that was originally bound.

PilotLPTM [1.2K]
I think the correct answer from the choices listed above is the third option. The DNA is used as a molecular clock in the sense that the percent of carbon in DNA is compared between parent and offspring. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.
