Answer:
Jimmy learned to listen better and not be arrogant about others. He was rude and could care less about the old woman's dying wish. This in return made him lose a great sum of money. Jimmy also learned that good thing's come to those who listen or care. The theme of the story is the importance of family. Jimmy was only interested in profiting off the old woman's death and didn't care to listen to her and that resulted in some dramatic irony. He sold many things from the house to make money when he could've looked in the mattress and found all the money needed. That's the dramatic irony and it"s portrayed in paragraph/stanza 9 where it states "Meanwhile the neighborhood children began using the old mattress as a trampoline. Right around the time of Jimmy's arrest, some of the kids were jumping on it when it burst open. A cloud of green bills exploded upward.". So while Jimmy could've had this money he decided to throw it away because it was "in terrible condition, lumpy and worn.". This also proved the old saying that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.
Hope this helps
If we study the yearly reports on accidents that took place in the USA, the common percentage that is displayed every year rounds about a thirty percent of the total accidents. However, there is always a slight shift of 0.2 to 2.0 percent for the same, every year. So it is almost clear that 30% of the total accidents (in a year) occur due to alcohol.
Therefore, the blank must be filled with the word that is mentioned in bold and is underlined:
Alcohol use, .... pedestrian, was ..... almost one-third of all ... crashes involving ... fatalities.

There is
tension in Sarah and Adoniram’s relationship.

The story is set in the late 1800s, the society was a patriarchy one, meaning
that women had no value. A woman (and a mother) had to only worry about keeping
the house clean, cook, etc. Sarah and
Adoniram’s relationship was tense, just as many others during this time.

In “The Revolt of Mother”, Sarah is angry at her husband because, instead of building
the house he’s been promising her for forty years, he’s building a barn for the
cows. Despite her attempts to start a conversation with him, he completely
ignored her, as he thought she, being a woman, wasn’t valuable enough to talk
with about future plans.

One day, when Adoniram left town for work, Sarah decided to build up her
courage and stand up against her husband. Their son is described as a younger
version of Adoniram and their daughter was soon to be married. Sarah wanted to
set an example for her kids, she wanted to demonstrate that they have to stand
up for themselves, so that day she moved all their belongings into the barn
(which was much bigger and nicer than the house they were living in) and the
cows into their old house. When Adoniram had returned and he had seen with this
own eyes that his wife was giving orders he started crying , saying, “I hadn’t
no idee you was so set on’t as all this comes to”.
