Subject is Art pls help
Marysya12 [62]

Answer:

One of the most common cultural symbols is language. For example, the letters of an alphabet symbolize the sounds of a specific spoken language. Symbolism leads to the “Layers of Meaning” concept. Culture is the meaning that is shared to provide guiding principles for individual meaning.

Symbols help people define and understand their culture because of the shared meanings of different symbols that are learned during the process of socialization, the process through which people learn the values, norms, beliefs, and expectations of their society.

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ASAP
SEE ATTACHMENTS BELOW

THX
Vesnalui [34]
This is a hard one to answer. The reason is that you are asked to distinguish between 2 schools of thought that are very close together. Not only that, but the characteristic you are looking for is not mentioned in either description.

Since semiotics brings in many more fields of study than does iconography, then I would go with iconography. This school of thought seems content just to find the symbols according to its description. What is done with them is mentioned in the other school but is not elaborated upon.

My answer would be iconography.
