Which statement explains what Manifest Destiny is?
amm1812

Answer:

3. Expands the U.S. from the Atlantic ocean to the Pacific ocean

Explanation:

In the 1800s, many hoped for a better life farther west. Exciting images persuaded people to make the tough journey. The painting “American Progress” is one example. It supports the idea of Manifest Destiny, a phrase first written in 1845 by journalist John L. O’Sullivan. O’Sullivan believed that God wanted Americans to expand their nation to the Pacific Ocean. Manifest Destiny means Obvious Purpose.  Even though O'Sullivan wrote Manifest Destiny, the idea was already in existence.

Why is North Africa considered a region that is separated from the rest of the African continent?
jeyben [28]
There are certain reasons for why North Africa may not be considered "African" in the same sense as the rest of the African continent. One such reason is geographical - that the Sahara Desert separates most of North Africa from that of the rest of the Continent as well as dense jungles and rainforests making travel into inner Africa difficult. Also, North Africa is positioned along the Mediterranean Sea which was a commercial and traveling hub for most of the western world throughout human history. This results in constant contact with civilizations such as Rome, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Ottomans, Spanish, etc. that made North Africa part of a different world than what the rest of Africa was experiencing during history. For these reasons, North Africa had enjoyed a different exposure to cultures, possibilities, and commerce that the majority of the African continent was not able to.

Children of Holocaust: Why were they treated badly? What happened to them?
USPshnik [31]
They were treated poorly because of the same reason the Nazi's treated adult jews; it was because of their heritage. After they were sent into camps, it did not matter how old they were, no one was spared of his wrath.
If you want to know exactly what happened to them with great visuals, I suggest plugging "Children of The Holocaust" into YouTube and finding a great visual explanation to go along with your research.
