Compare and contrast the retina’s two photoreceptor cells, and explain the role rhodopsin plays in vision
Oliga [24]
Photoreceptors are responsible for visual phototransduction. They convert light into biological signals. In humans, rods, cone, and retinal ganglion cells are the 3 main photoreceptors.
Rods are narrow and are present throughout the retina. They are very sensitive, They can be triggered by a single photon also. They are responsible for the visuals we get in the low-light conditions.
Cons need a high number of photons, in order to produce signals. They are responsible for visualization of colors.
Rhodopsin is the pigment molecule of the rod cells. It is very sensitive to the light, and enables visualization in dim lights.

1. Define the sociological perspective (or imagination), cite its components, and explain how they were defined by C. Wright Mil
Stella [2.4K]

Sociological perspective can be conceptualized as the ability of an individual to connect with a social cause or with an institution, and the connection goes beyond that individual's personal experiences and runs away from what he learned during his life within the society in which he accustomed. In this case, a person is able to analyze and understand other people's lives and the problems and situations they experience. In other words, this term refers to the ability to understand and analyze situations that are not common in our life, but that are in the lives of others.

I see sociological imagination happening in my life, when I am able to understand the problems generated by racism, despite being a white person who has never suffered racism in his life.

Find the sale price of the item. Round to two decimal places if necessary.
Marysya12 [62]

Answer:

Sales price = $62.00

Explanation:

Given the following data;

Original price = $238.45

Markdown = 74% = 74/100 = 0.74

To find the sales price;

First of all, we would calculate the markdown price;

Markdown price = 0.74 * 238.45

Markdown price = $176.45

Next, we calculate the sales price;

Sales price = original price - markdown price

Sales price = 238.45 - 176.45

Sales price = $62.00

Note: a markdown is a discount on the price of a product i.e lowering the sales price in order to boost the sales of a product.
