Answer:

Literary allusion.

Explanation:

An allusion is an implied or direct reference to an event or person. And when we say literary allusion, that means a reference to any literary text or work.

The given lines from Antony's speech after the death of Caesar were used by the heavy metal band. And in using the same phrase as their song's title, Iron Maiden's reference to the line is taken from Shakespeare's play, thus referencing a literary work of Shakespeare.

Thus, the correct answer is a literary allusion.

Which set of aliens do you think you would believe—the first set,”The wretched,” or the second set,” The Beautiful ?”Explain why
suter [353]

Answer:

I would probably believe the first set of aliens, "the wretched".

Explanation:

"The Wretched and the Beautiful", by E. Lily Yu uses aliens as a metaphor for the way we, as a society, view and treat refugees. In the story, the first set of extraterrestrials to arrive on a beach are received with violence. They have a disgusting appearance, which makes humans quick to judge and attack them, even though they are asking for refuge.

A second group, but of beautiful aliens, arrives and convinces the humans that the first group consists of criminals. The humans believe them and are more than relieved when they realize they are not the ones who will have deal with those first aliens.

Even though I do understand why humanity in general would be tempted to believe the second group, I think would believe the first one. I know that we tend to fear what is different. Our primitive brains are wired to identify those who do not belong to our group or tribe as the enemy. Therefore, what is different is usually perceived as dangerous. However, precisely because I have that knowledge, I would try to break that pattern and put myself in those aliens' "shoes". I would imagine what it felt like to ask for help only to be treated as a threat and be attacked instead.

What element of the plot is this passage an example of
rjkz [21]

Answer:

Exposition

Explanation:

In these lines, we see an example of exposition. Exposition is the part of a text in which the author presents background information that the reader needs to know before reading the story. Exposition, therefore, is the first section of a text. In this case, the background information that readers need to know is that the setting has recently experienced a very destructive war. The character can remember the period before the war, and how the city was transformed.

Skills? I wouldn't say skills, but you think about what you red and write, you use what you know from your brain to basically understand words in a book or even when you write them down, etc. If this doesn't help, look up all the skills of reading and writing on google =)

In the story, the faithful servant is the protagonist and the king is the antagonist. Why do you think these two characters fit
AVprozaik [17]

The characters will fit the descriptions of the protagonist and antagonist if:

 • The protagonist is the main character in the story who suffered the most obstacles. The King will be the antagonist if he inflicted pain on the servant who was the protagonist.

Who are the protagonist and antagonist?

A protagonist is the main actor in a play who suffers unjust treatment by some evil people. The story revolves around this protagonist and the steps he takes to overcome the trials that he or she faces. The antagonist, on the other hand, is the one who causes the protagonist anguish.

In the story of the Faithful servant and the King, we can see that the King subjected the servant to unjust treatment by letting him do difficult jobs in order to win the affection of the princess.

In the end, all of his schemes do not work out as he is impelled to know that he should cultivate the habit of working hard.
