lina2011 [118]

QUESTION ONE: The most single and memorable day in my life occurred one week ago. I was on my way home and went across this young women, she had the most peaceful face I had ever seen.

It was quite late that night on Central station, I was going back home coming back from Cleveland. Engrossed in my thoughts, she approached and made me realized that I had dropped a silk handkerchief. At that moment I came back to reality, looked at it and told her it wasn't mine. She said I was the only stylish men among the station that's why she was sure it was mine. I felt flattered and started talking to her. We talked for a few minutes and we realized we lived close. She lived on Amsterdam and 22nd St.  That´s I offer her a ride on my cab.e   When we arrived we walked a few blocks, I told her my building, suddenly the door was opened and all my family and friends came through the door singing happy birthday to me. That girl was my cousin from San Diego that have not seen since I was a kid and charmed me to take me home to the party.

QUESTION TWO:

Claim for incorrect charge of account commission

To whom it May concern:

On this written I wish to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service provided. Yesterday morning I reviewed my bank statements and I realized that I had been charged for the account commission service they told me they would not charge me for six months. On December 26 th I received an email from you informing me about the promotion from which the cost of my banking package would subsidized for 6 months. And the first month after that I already notice the cost in my account. I consider it a great lack of respect because it not only damages me financially but also I must invest a large part of my time in making the claim: first by telephone and now in writing this letter (as I have been informed by your employees, you need this writting for the claim to be effective). I hope to perceive quickly on my bank account the amount charged and that you can consider as well the compensation of the extra expenses that this inconvenience caused.

I am looking forward to your response,

Cordially,

XXXXX

What organizational pattern do Elizabeth Browning's sonnets follow?
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

The organizational pattern Elizabeth Browning's sonnets follow is the Italian (Petrarchan) one.

Explanation:

Petrarchan sonnet is a type of poem consisting of 14 lines divided into two stanzas, one with eight and the other with 6 lines. The rhyme scheme for the first stanza is ABBAABBA, while for the second one it is CDCDCD or CDECDE. Elizabeth Browning chose this type of sonnet to write. Let's take a look at one of her most famous sonnets:

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.  A

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height  B

My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight  B

For the ends of being and ideal grace.  A

I love thee to the level of every day’s  A

Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.  B

I love thee freely, as men strive for right;  B

I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.  A

I love thee with the passion put to use  C

In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.  D

I love thee with a love I seemed to lose  C

With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,  D

Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,  C

I shall but love thee better after death. D
