Answer:

Music is commonly used in political contexts, to strengthen attitudes and group cohesion. The reported research examined reactions to music representing national values or contesting them in individuals with different political orientations, on issues related to national pride, cohesion and free expression. In Study 1, 100 Israeli participants heard three “patriotic” or “protest” songs and rated their agreement with statements regarding them. Beyond a number of main effects of music and of political orientation, several interactions between these two variables were found. For right-wing participants, patriotic music increased pride whereas protest music increased shame and fear of social disintegration. For left-wing participants, protest music led to higher agreement with the right to free expression. Study 2 included 78 participants and repeated the procedure with parallel texts. Main effects of texts were found, but no main effects of political orientation or interactions were found. Results are discussed in terms of the role and impact of music in political settings.

Maksim231197 [3]

As we know, we live in a society that sets standards all the time in any possible field. We have aesthetic, academic, professional, behavioral standards and many others. When we do not fit this pattern we feel excluded and we have difficulty accepting ourselves, for this reason, we have difficulty socializing and we start to think that we must change who we are in order to "fit in" and not be a lonely person and without any company .

It is no different with me, I do not fit the standard of beauty that society imposes. This affected my self-esteem and I was extremely unhappy and dissatisfied with my own image. This dissatisfaction isolated me from everything and everyone, I could not establish any kind of relationship with anyone, because I was so dissatisfied with me that I felt that I would be rejected by everyone.

My parents, concerned about my situation, proposed that I go to therapy so that I could better deal with these negative feelings around myself. It was not easy to change this view, but little by little I managed to improve and see that I don't need to fit into unreachable standards and that I could be who I am and focus on my qualities. It is not easy today, but I try to take it one step at a time, with the certainty that paranoias in my head should not be adopted as truth, but should be debated and help me to build a better conception of myself.

Summery of the great gatsby chapter 3
Tems11 [23]

The Great Gatsby chapter 3 Summary

In Chapter, Nick, the person who is narrating the story is able to meet Gatsby for the first time. He is invited to one of his lavish weekend parties in his mansion.

The weekend parties are infamous for being lavish and opulent events. A catering company is hired every weekend to provide seemingly unlimited food and alcohol (during the time when alcohol was banned in the US)

Gatsby himself is shown as a confident man who is eat ease with the busy parties. He doesn't know most people there but also does not mind their presence.

There are also a high number of English citizens at his parties, who are mostly looking to make connections among the rich and famous in United States.

It takes more than 2 Chapters to eventually build up to the first image of 'Great' Gatsby but his presence is an anticlimax as we observe a rich and powerful man who is also very down to earth.

In the chapter, Nick also starts dating a woman who he first meets at the party.
