Answer:

It takes courage to be a follower of Jesus in our current times because it may prevent you from making friends; no one wants to be alone in the world. Another reason is that being a Christian can cause the people around you to make fun of you and exclude you from groups, social gatherings, etc. Additionally, being a Jesus follower may even keep you from getting a job. While it can be intimidating, following Jesus is the best thing you can do. Due to many reasons such as becoming a public outcast, it will take courage to openly follow Him.

Answer: Right now in society there are many "barriers" when it comes to what we choose to believe in and what others thinks is right.  Many people speak out about how they feel about God, when it comes to weather or not they believe in him, it raises a huge argument.  People try to find evidence to prove he is non-existent while others do the opposite.  Society has created a "good path" and a "bad path" people who chose to follow God constantly get questioned throughout life, and the same is with people who dont choose to follow God, however they do get questioned less.  It takes courage when it comes to following Jesus now a days because people have to prepare themselves to answer people and for when they get made fun of, believing in Jesus and choosing to follow him is also just a big leap of faith, it takes trust!
