3 shirts for 9.99 2 pairs of shorts for 14.95 a bathing suit for 24.50 the sales tax was 7% how much did she spend in all ?
alexira [117]

Answer:

If a shirt is on sale for 50% off, and you have another offer that gives you an "additional 20% off the sale price", does that mean you get a total of 70% off? Not usually. If the shirt was $20, then the SALE price would be $10 and the additional 20% would apply to the SALE price of $10 instead of the original price of $20. This isn't too bad when the sales are nice even percentages, but when it gets more complicated, you can use this calculator to find out the final cost (sales tax not included).Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of a prism is 7800 mm3. What is the volume of this prism, measured in cm3? A. 7.8 cm3 B. 780 cm3 C. 78,000 cm3 D. 7,8
natita [175]
The answer is A. 7.8 cm3. We know that 1 mm=0.1 cm. So 1 mm3=0.001 cm3. Then the 7800 mm3 equals to 7.8 cm3.

Find the sum of the first 6 terms of the sequence: –3, 1, 5, 9, . . .A) 45B) 42C) 48D) 25
Leni [432]

SOLUTION

From the sequence give

–3, 1, 5, 9, . . .

The first term, a = -3

The common difference, d = 4 (gotten by adding 4 to the next term).

The number of terms required n = 6.

Formula for sum of an arithmetic sequence is given by

S_n=\frac{n}{2}\lbrack2a+(n-1)d\rbrack

Substituting these values into the equation above we have

\begin{gathered} S_n=\frac{n}{2}\lbrack2a+(n-1)d\rbrack \\ S_6=\frac{6}{2}\lbrack2\times-3+(6-1)4\rbrack \\ S_6=3\lbrack-6+(5)4\rbrack \\ S_6=3\lbrack-6+20\rbrack \\ S_6=3\lbrack14\rbrack \\ S_6=42 \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is 42, option B
