Usually practicing the topic and review notes and learning from other resources helps understand a big complex since you would be learning for yourself and through other learning/teaching styles. If you are struggling with a big concept look into tutoring, talking with your teacher or using websites like khan academy to relearn the topic. Hope this helps!

Triangle DEF is on a coordinate plane with its
antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

21\ \text{square units}

Step-by-step explanation:

The points are D(-3,5), E(-3,-2) and F(3,0).

Area of a triangle is given by

A=\dfrac{D_x(E_y-F_y)+E_x(F_y-D_y)+F_x(D_y-E_y)}{2}

\Rightarrow A=\dfrac{-3(-2-0)+-3(0-5)+3(5-(-2))}{2}

\Rightarrow A=21\ \text{square units}

The area of the given triangle is 21\ \text{square units}.

What is the value of n in the equation –negative StartFraction one-half EndFraction left-parenthesis 2 n plus 4 right-parenthesi
stepladder [879]

The value of n in the equation is 1

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation is -\frac{1}{2} (2n + 4) + 6 = -9 + 4(2n + 1)

At first we must do that:

1. Open the brackets in both sides

2. Add like terms

3. Solve to find n

L.H.S:

∵ -\frac{1}{2} (2n + 4) + 6 = -n - 2 + 6

∴ -\frac{1}{2} (2n + 4) + 6 = -n + 4

R.H.S:

∵ -9 + 4(2n + 1) = -9 + 8n + 4

∴ -9 + 4(2n + 1) = 8n - 5

∴ -n + 4 = 8n - 5

- Add 5 to both sides

∴ -n + 9 = 8n

- Add n to both sides

∴ 9 = 9n

- Divide both sides by 9

∴ n = 1

The value of n in the equation is 1
