To compare, you write the similarities between 2 topics. To contrast, you write the differences between the 2. For example, dogs and cats.

They both are able to sense the emotions of their humans(compare), but dogs bark, and cats meow/hiss(contrast).

Answer:

Sundays too my father got up early

and put his clothes on in the blueblack cold,

then with cracked hands that ached

from labor in the weekday weather made

How many adjectives appear in following sentence?
krek1111 [17]
The correct answer is 4 adjectives. "This," "my," "that," and "green" are all adjectives. "This" and "that" are demonstrative adjectives, because they indicate which object the speaker is talking about. They differentiate between this ball closest to me, and that ball over there, for example. "My" is a possessive adjective, because it indicates that the door belongs to me, according to the sentence. Finally, "green" modifies the color of the grass, so it is also an adjective.
