You would need to check how to write the comnparative analysis. In the "lens" (or "keyhole") comparison, in which you weight A less heavily than B, you use A as a lens through which to view B. Just as looking through a pair of glasses changes the way you see an object, using A as a framework for understanding B changes the way you see B. Lens comparisons are useful for illuminating, critiquing, or challenging the stability of a thing that, before the analysis, seemed perfectly understood. Often, lens comparisons take time into account: earlier texts, events, or historical figures may illuminate later ones, and vice versa. Faced with a daunting list of seemingly unrelated similarities and differences, you may feel confused about how to construct a paper that isn't just a mechanical exercise in which you first state all the features that A and B have in common, and then state all the ways in which A and B are different. Predictably, the thesis of such a paper is usually an assertion that A and B are very similar yet not so similar after all. To write a good compare-and-contrast paper, you must take your raw data—the similarities and differences you've observed—and make them cohere into a meaningful argument. You may also contact the professionals from Prime Writings and let them do it for you. I am sure you will like the overall experience.

Why do you think penelope devise the contest with the bow what does this contest reveal about her?
kherson [118]
I believe that Penelope devised the contest with the bow and arrows in order to buy both herself and Odysseus more time. He was gone for a long time, but she kept believing he would return to her and they would be happy again. However, he was gone for more than 10 years, and many suitors now came to Ithaca in order to marry Penelope and rule there. She obviously didn't want that, so she created this contest knowing that nobody could win it besides Odysseus who is the best archer ever. What it reveals about her is her absolute faithfulness and devotion to her husband whom she hasn't seen in over a decade.

The basic part of a word that is also the source of its essential meaning is called a _____
amm1812
root - the basic part of a word
example: reCONSTRUCTion

prefix - an addition before the root of a word
example: REconstruction

suffix - an addition at the end of the root of a word
example: reconstructION

The root is what contributes to the basic meaning of a word - prefixes and suffixes serve to narrow down the meaning - who, when, how, in what tense
example: re - again
construct - to build
ion - the action of

So the word RECONSTRUCTION would mean "the action of building again."

Hope that helped! Good luck! :)

P.S. Although you didn't ask for it, the subject is the object in the sentence that is performing the predicate
example: The girl ran to the store.
girl - subject
ran - predicate

It doesn't really have much in common with roots, prefixes and suffixes, all which are similar in function Source(s): Teaching English

Why did poets in the 1800's, like Walt Whitman, choose to write poetry using Free Verse?
Lilit [14]

Answer:

His poetic form had to be able to channel what he saw as the poetry inherent in all the infinite activities of life. It's little wonder, then, that he found it necessary to invent a poetic form—free verse—that could give him the freedom to achieve those ends.
