If you read Acts chapter 19 you’ll see that St Paul preached in Ephesus, which was in what was then called Asia, and he found disciples there already, so someone had been there before him. And we also read that people from that old, smaller Asia were in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost, and some of them perhaps took the message back with them.
