What was one of the results of the War of the Triple Alliance?
kow [346]

Answer:

4. Paraguay lost a large part of its territory

Explanation:

The War of the Triple Alliance was a war between Paraguay from one side, and Uruguay, Argentina, and Brazil from the other side. Paraguay decided that it should have access to the Atlantic Ocean in order to be economically more independent, but Uruguay was standing on its way. In order to achieve its goal, Paraguay attacked the smaller and weaker Uruguay in an attempt to invade it. This was not seen fondly by Brazil and Argentina, and they were quick to react, making an alliance between them, as well as with Uruguay. This alliance was known as the Triple Alliance, and its purpose was to prevent Paraguay from invading Uruguay and becoming a powerhouse in South America. The Triple Alliance came out as the victorious side in the war, with Paraguay losing big chunk of its territory to Argentina and Brazil.
