How was the Vietnam War important to the American people?
lubasha [3.4K]

Answer:

Hey

Explanation:

The Vietnam War was the longest war in American history and the most unpopular American war of the 20th century. It resulted in nearly 60,000 American deaths and an estimated 2 million Vietnamese deaths. The war caused turmoil on the home front, as anti-war protests became a feature of American life.

After the United States withdrew from the Vietnam War, it experienced many significant changes to its culture. Perhaps the most important consequence that came out the Vietnam War was the overwhelming suspicion and lack of trust that the American public developed for government and authority.

Hope this helps!!

Which statement most accurately describes the modern role of the U.S. Military as a tool of foreign policy? A. The U.S. Military
erica [24]

Answer:

B. Military force is an easy way to replace an unfriendly foreign leader

Explanation:

The US has been using its military way to often as a tool of its foreign policies in the past century. While it was understandable during the Cold War, after it ended it is simply absurd. It seems that whenever the US has problems with some leader of another country where it has some interest, it employs its military, attacks the country, and takes down the unwanted leader. While some may argue that the US military has acted as peacekeeper, society builder, bringing democracy, in practice it has been the total opposite, and we have Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Syria to witness for it, being left in ruins, total chaos, and becoming fertile grounds for terrorist basis.
