How does a stream typically change as it flows from its headwaters to its mouth?
Marrrta [24]

Answer:

D. Gradient decreases, discharge increases.

Explanation:

 • As steam is a body of water that carries rock particles and dissolved ions, discharge is measured in terms of volume/time (m3/sec). So when a river discharges its flow from a headwater to its mouth the velocity increases in the downstream direction.
 • Thus the river load-carrying capacity increases downwards and so does the discharge rate. The discharge rate can also be influenced due to the rainfall patterns, volume of water and velocity of flow.
 • Rock types also impact the streamflow if it is a porous rock, the surface will absorb more of moisture content and comparative more will be the water penetration towers the mouth of the flow.

Research the issue of genetically modified foods, and then write an essay against their use
Sladkaya [172]

Genetic modification is a special set of gene technology that alters the genetic machinery of such living organisms as animals, plants or microorganisms. Combining genes from different organisms is known as recombinant DNA technology and the resulting organism is said to be ‘Genetically modified (GM)’, ‘Genetically engineered’ or ‘Transgenic’. The principal transgenic crops grown commercially in field are herbicide and insecticide resistant soybeans, corn, cotton and canola. Other crops grown commercially and/or field-tested are sweet potato resistant to a virus that could destroy most of the African harvest, rice with increased iron and vitamins that may alleviate chronic malnutrition in Asian countries and a variety of plants that are able to survive weather extremes. There are bananas that produce human vaccines against infectious diseases such as hepatitis B, fish that mature more quickly, fruit and nut trees that yield years earlier and plants that produce new plastics with unique properties. But here is one thing I learned. GMO Is a very bad issue since basically people are spraying chemicals on the plants which we eat. There are these 2 things I want you to know whne your in a store picking out your food. Organic vegetables? Good! it doesn't say organic or anything? that means it's not organic it's usually 98% GM in my opinion. GMO can affect your body and how it functions. I Hope this helps! it took so long to write! Please comment if I helped!

what are the effects of poor service delivery in a community...socially,economically and environmentally
Thepotemich [5.8K]
The effects socially would be that the delivery will not be well respected and their will be conflict between the deliver and customer, business, etc . The effects economically would be that the business will start to decline in customers of interest in that area and potentially will make a bad name for that business in general, meaning less business and less money. This leads to a drop in business status worldwide. The effects environmentally are possibly limitless, it affects everything. By the service being poor many things and people could suffer, including greenery and yardwork or whatever. There will be an effect on environment but it depends on the service and how poor it is.
