He lists earthquakes, mudslides, forest fires, floods, trees, and falling rocks as some of the dangers that can arise during the hunt. He describes people who found themselves at risk in water with no safe place to go. Others realized they were not properly prepared only after they started walking away from where they had parked their car. Some people didn´t have the proper clothing, food, and water. One scuba diver had almost run out of air at the bottom of a lake, and another one almost froze while riding a bicycle through 28 miles in the snow.
