When short wave radiation from space meets the Earth's surface, it is transformed into long wave or infrared radiation, causing this effect to manifest itself. Heat energy in this form is subsequently absorbed and stored in the atmosphere as water vapour and carbon dioxide, which are both greenhouse gases. The greenhouse effect is caused by a wide range of factors. The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is raised as a result of the presence of O.

Because of the tremendous usage of fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas, the global population is growing at a rate of 4 percent each year.
