Answer:

a. The colonists found Franklin awkward and ridiculous when he arrived in Philadelphia. This can be deduced from the thoughts of Mr. Read's daughter.

They are most likely to have had an experience similar to Franklin's because the transportation system was the same in most of the cities and since technology had not developed so much at that time for them to read about other places, a traveler from Philadelphia might have had the same experience in anther city.

b. Franklin was asked several sly questions by the by whom he asked of a place where a stranger could dwell. This likely showed that the colonists were suspicious of unknown visitors and eagerly anticipated independence.

Explanation:

In his autobiography, Franklin wrote of his arrival in Philadelphia. There he became short of funds. Being hungry he bought 3 pennies worth of bread which he ate as he walked down the street. Miss Reads who saw him walk by thought that he looked awkward and ridiculous. Anyone travelling to an unknown destination at that time, would have also experienced the challenges that Franklin faced.

The sly questions and the suspicious view the colonists had of Franklin were indicative of their desire to gain independence from the British rulers.

What was on specific rule put in place by the east India company that angered and offended sepoys?
morpeh [17]
The East India Company forced Sepoys to use new ammunition that went against their religious beliefs, hence causing the Sepoy Rebellion.

It all started when the British East India Company implemented the use of new bullets that must be coated with a mixture of pork and beef fat. This upset many Sepoy's, as several of them were Hindus and this went against their beliefs. Hindus belief that the cow is a sacred animal and are prohibited from touching or killing cows and eating beef.

Along with this, many Sepoys were also Muslim. In this religion of Islam, the pig is considered an unclean animal. This upset with the new policies caused a revolt of these Sepoys against the British East India Company.

REPORT: A NEW NATION FORMED
zhannawk [14.2K]
Officially on the third of October, 1990, East Germany reunited with West Germany. There was a significant amount of apprehension from the perspective of social welfare. The East was known to have a lower standard of living, including less access to goods, products, services and a balanced diet. In addition, education and work opportunities were lower prior to the time of reunification. The industrialized West, had concerns over the ability of the East to quickly improve and reform much of the basic infrastructure in order to get in line with the West's standards.

Over time, the East greatly improved and adopted the same standards for living, including improved roadways, education, products and services. The standards are on par with much of the rest of the country now. In addition, the system effectively integrated much of what was once thought to be only a drain on the West's financial and industrial systems. And of course, Berlin has resumed being the capital. In fact, much of what is done and said in Germany today, is considered the guiding parameters for continued growth and development in the Eurozone block. The European Union relies on Germany's status as an economic power house, clearly demonstrating some of the positive effects that have resulted from reunification.
