Answer:

The original story and the film version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Adventure of the Speckled Band" share these two major themes: the danger of jumping to conclusions and the idea that crime doent pay . However, the two versions differ in certain ways. For example, in the original story, Helen Stoner gets engaged two years after her sister’s death, while in the film version, the engagement takes place one year later. The film version also establishes a more intimate connection between Watson and Helen as family friends.

Explanation:

"The Adventure of the Speckled Band" was written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and tells how Helen Stoner, after having her sister murdered asks Sherlock Holmes for help in solving the crime, finding the culprit and finding out if her stepfather was involved in the murder.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's work has won a cinamatographic version that has many similarities with the written work, but also has many differences so that the story fits better with the Holliwoodian standards.

In short, the original story and the film version of "The Adventure of the Splattered Band" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle share these two main themes: the danger of jumping to conclusions and the idea that crime does not pay. However, the two versions differ in certain ways. For example, in the original story, Helen Stoner is engaged two years after the death of her sister, while in the film version, the engagement occurs a year later. The film version also establishes a more intimate connection between Watson and Helen as friends of the family.

16 POINTS<br> What do men and women today think the other wants MOST in a relationship?
BigorU [14]

Women want to have a permanent emotional connection and bond that lasts a lifetime and expects for the man to fulfill their emotional and physical needs. While men want their physical needs to be satisfied and don’t want the women they love and are with to be stubborn, pessimistic and selfish; a woman who doesn’t take their advice at some moments and goes her own way is a huge downer for any man. Now, in reality women cannot think the same as a man and man cannot think the same as a women. That’s how God made us in complete perfection.

Women nowadays think men are only after a girl for their physical appearance and intimacy, it takes time for a woman looking for a relationship to trust a man so deeply that she’s willing to emotionally attach to him. However, it’s the case for most girls because some do their best to please the man to the extent of changing for them or pleasing them every way possible so they won’t leave. Unfortunately, some women are too dependent. Men on the other hand think women are also superficial or sometimes they think all women are the same and they treat them like so when they want to establish a relationship with her. However, being different is what causes them to make the man chase and want to establish a connection with her.

Also, place your own opinions in the prompt. It could help you a lot. Put instead of “I think” the words “a man/woman who is a gamer thinks...”

Hope this helps you sweetie

Discuss the significance of Mr.douglas brand and the moat [ valley of fear ]
JulijaS [17]

Answer:

The significance of Mr. Douglas brand and the moat lies in the cover that Detective Birdy Edwards needs to protect his identity from being discovered by the Scowrers, a murderous secret society that was busted by Edwards in the US.  The moat offers physical protection to the house where Birdy Edwards lives.  So, both Mr. Douglas brand and the moat are shields from the relentless enemies who were after his life after they were released from prison.

Explanation:

The "Valley of Fear" was the fourth and final Sherlock Holmes novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.  It was written about 1914.  It chronicled the events that led to the discovery of Birdy Edwards, a Pinkerton detective in Chicago, who ran to England to escape from the murderous hands of a notorious gang.  He was not aware that the society had members spread over the globe, including Professor Moriarty.  The secret society never forgives and the members never forget.  That is why they traced Edwards to England, though he had earlier disguised his identity by answering Mr. John Douglas and carved out a residence surrounded by a moat for physical protection.
