\dfrac{MQ}{MN}=\dfrac{MR}{MP}=\dfrac{QR}{NP}

\implies\dfrac{2,5}6=\dfrac{MR}{5,7}=\dfrac{1,9}{NP}

\dfrac{2,5}6=\dfrac{MR}{5,7}\implies MR=2,375

\dfrac{2,5}6=\dfrac{1,9}{NP}\implies NP=4,56

The angles with measurements equal to 3x+3 and 2x+22 should add up to 180°. This is because the angle which measures 2x+22 and the angle that is adjacent to the angle measuring 3x+3 are supposed to be congruent. If we mathematically translate the concept above, this can be expressed as,
        3x + 3 + 2x + 22 = 180

Combining like terms,
      (3x + 2x) + (3 + 22) = 180
Simplifying,
      5x + 25 = 180

Transpose the constants to only one side of the equation,
    5x = 155
Divide the equation by 5.
    x = 31

<em>ANSWER: x = 31</em>

neonofarm [45]
If you go with the basic division formula and divide 42.5 by .75 you will get 56.6, but since you can’t have 2/3 of a book the correct answer would be 56

Answer:

Lindsay is wrong. It would be 20/9 not 9/20

Sharon is right.

Step-by-step explanation

Lindsay- Speed=Distance/Time

Speed=100/45 = 20/9 m/min

This figure is made up of a rectangle and parallelogram.
e-lub [12.9K]
<span>40 units^2
   The figure has the vertexes (2,7), (3,3), (3,-3), (-5,-5), (-6,-1), and (2,1). If you draw a line from (2,1) to (3,-3) you'll divide the figure into the rectangle and parallelogram. The total area will be the sum of the area of the parallelogram and the rectangle. The area of the parallelogram will be base times height, where the height is the distance between the line (2,7) to (2,1) and line (3,3) to (3,-3) which is 1 and the base is the length of the line (2,7) to (2,1) which is 6. So the parallelogram has an area of 6.

   The length and width of the rectangle can be calculated from the Pythagorean theorem, so:
 L = sqrt((2- -6)^2 + (1- -1)^2) = sqrt(8^2 + 2^2) = sqrt(64+4) = sqrt(68) = 2*sqrt(17)
 W = sqrt((-6 - -5)^2 + (-1 - -5)^2) = sqrt(-1^2 + 4^2) = sqrt(1 + 16) = sqrt(17)

So the area of the rectangle is 2*sqrt(17)*sqrt(17) = 2*17 = 34. And the total area is 34 + 6 = 40.</span>
