Answer:

The wait. Every second feels like ages. The constant honks of irritated drivers. The multiple convergences of routes in which we all wait for the signal to glow. While the loud noise of anger people and the even more deafening noise machinery, building tirelessly. You can start to smell the propellant filling the air, this horrible smell that adds to the already awful day many people are having. Why are there signals here? To stop disasters; that happen anyway once people have enough of the waiting and decided to make a move, the wrong move. This is not the first time this haste hour happens, no, and we all know that it won't be the last either. We all have places to be and things to get done. Slowly people in the front get to go where they need to be, every vehicle starts to move forward. Is this the end of this forever seemingly wait? No, as soon as the vehicles move forward they stop. More vehicles go and more start to come this all happens throughout the day in these busy routes. One by one all the vehicles leave and all that is left is the sound of life.

Hope its good enough

How does the author's inclusion of the "Goddess” contribute
d1i1m1o1n [39]

Answer:

The word "Goddess" refers to freedom, which is part of the main theme of this poem.

Explanation:

In this poem by Phillis Wheatley, the fight for freedom led by General Washington can be seen as the main theme.

The author of the poem uses the word Goddess to emphasize this meaning, because that is what freedom is: a great "Goddess", the one who frees us and lets us live in peace.

Let's look at the following quote from the poem:

Proceed, great chief, with virtue on thy side,

Thy ev'ry action let the Goddess guide.

A crown, a mansion, and a throne that shine,

With gold unfading, WASHINGTON! Be thine.

Read the paragraph. Global warming resulting from greenhouse gases is a serious issue that demands immediate action. Throughout
CaHeK987 [17]

Global warming resulting from greenhouse gases is a serious issue that demands immediate action. The immediate action must be carried out by raising people's consciousness of this important issue. If we work together, we can make global warming an issue that everyone cares about. We, as individuals, must work together towards sustainability.

the significant effects mentioned in the text are that the ocean is rising year after year; trees bloom two to three weeks earlier, we barely get snow in winter, the increased severity of hurricanes, tornadoes and drought, Sea levels are increasing, towns in the Arctic are sinking. These are direct effects of global warming.
