People are saying by 2050, it will happen. There are already 41 million Spanish speakers in the U.S. 321.4 Million Beings in the U.S itself. So, if you do the math, we have 12.76% of the U.S population being Spanish speakers. By the rates, I don't think its gonna happen by 2050, so maybe around 2075 - 2100 (Unless there is a serious exponential growth.
The economic collapse of the soith happened rapidly from tge result of the war. Many states went into debt to the US government as a result. Now a few years after the war the south started rebuilding and led to a industral revolution. Many of the southerners who could not find work, went and worked for the rail roads as well.
White expansion. War between Indians and the whites was very common because the whites seemingly had quite an appetite for the Indian land. Indians struggle to contain this aggressive expansion led to war with hope to reduce American settlement and expansion.
