the end of the lawn. As she opened the box, the rusty hinge made a screech much like someone scraping fingernails across a blackboard. Which is the BEST evaluation of the language used in these two sentences?

The best evaluation would be that these sentences are descriptive, and it uses more complex words rather than using words like the mailbox made a loud sound. Also using the extra word in "much like" helps the sentence flow because the sentence could have said "made a screech like someone scraping fingernails" so by adding much before like, it makes the sentence a lot smoother and a little bit more descriptive.

Text structures are terms that are used to describe the arrangement of information in a literary work. The descriptive text structure explains things in detail. The Persuasive structure is geared at convincing readers of a line of thought. Compare and contrast evaluate two things to know the similarities and differences.

Sequence-time analyzes things in a chronological manner. Problem-solution identifies a problem and suggests solutions to them. Finally, the cause-effect text structure identifies a causative agent and the effect it has on people or things.
