Flip the equation.
2p+ 10 = -4
Subtract 10 from both sides.
2p + 10 - 10 = -4 - 10 2p = -14
Divide both sides by 2.
2p/2 = -14/2 p = -7
So the answer is p = -7

You need to get p by its-self so
-4=2p+10
Need to take 2p and put it on the other side of the =
You cancel out 2p by subtracting 2 from itself and -4 which is 0.6

Jon’s Summer baseball league has 36 thirteen -year-olds and 48 fourteen year-olds. Write the ratio of 13-year-olds to 14-year-ol
FinnZ [79.3K]

Answer:

These are the forms to write the ratio. Please read the explanation.

a. 3/4

b. 3:4

c. 3 ÷ 4

d. Ratio of 3 to 4

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's check the information given to resolve the question:

Number of 13-year olds = 36

Number of 14-year olds = 48

2. Writing the ratio of 13-year-olds to 14-year olds in all three forms:

We can say that there are:

36/48 13-year olds to 14-year olds but we notice immediately that we can simplify that ratio this way:

36/48 = 18/24 (Dividing by 2) = 9/12 (Dividing by 2 again) = 3/4 (Dividing by 3)

We can conclude that the ratio of 13-year-olds to 14-year olds is 3/4 and we can write it these ways:

a. 3/4

b. 3:4

c. 3 ÷ 4

d. Ratio of 3 to 4
