What would be the purpose of listing grievances against the king and parliament in the Declaration of Independence?
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

C. To show how the king and the parliament broke the social contract between government and governed.

Explanation:

The Declaration of Independence was a document established to expose the complaints of American settlers about the breach of the social contract that the King and the English Parliament promoted against the American governed. In that document, the Americans complained about the cases of tyranny and exploitation that England had been promoting on American soil, causing the colonies to suffer serious reprisals and not have the least representation.

How does the articles of confederation compare to the constitution?
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

Easy! I got you!

Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation was the first written constitution of the United States. Along those lines, this constitution had some weaknesses such as:

*Each state only had one vote in Congress, regardless of size

*Congress did not have the power to tax

*Congress did not have the power to regulate foreign and interstate commerce

*There was no executive branch to enforce any acts passed by Congress

The Articles of Confederation compares to our current constitution because our current constitution has fixed ideas that the Articles of Confederation didn't. When the Articles of Confederation was ratified to be replaced, our new constitution came into place at the Constitutional Convention of 1787.

You're welcome! Hope this helped!
