White Army:

1. This army received support from the west.

The White Army was made up of generally anti-communist groups, which was the beliefs of the Western-world, leading to the eventual support. However, with corruption plaguing the white government(s), these support was not put into good use.

3. Some of the people in the army wanted a democracy.

Remember, the groups in the white army are just anti-communist. Their individual ideals of what form of government they want is completely different, as some groups may want to reinstate the royal family, others want a direct democracy or even indirect democracy, and others.

6. This army was made up of a variety of different interests.

This point piggy-backs off the 3rd choice.

Red Army:

2. Leon Trotsky led this army.

Leon Trotsky was a early leader in the Russian Communist Political Party, which led to his major influence in leading any actions that the Party takes.

4. This army crushed all its oppositions.

Without the white armies actually uniting, the Red army was able to unify more structurally and take out each individual white army.

5. This army achieved power and victory in Russia.

As seen in the history of Russia, after the war between the Red & White Armies, Russia became known as the U.S.S.R, under the communist regime.

In the nineteenth century, the popular European view of sub-Saharan Africa was that the area had been uncivilized and was only b
Allushta [10]

Answer:

I do not agree.

Explanation:

The arrival of the British in sub-Saharan Africa is part of European Colonialism, widespread in various parts of the world, with the aim of exploring and dominating a region and all the resources available in it.

It is common to hear that colonization was a blessing for the life of the colonies because it took culture, religion and modenity to a region considered "wild" and "inadequate". However, we can say that colonization was not a blessing anywhere, since in these regions the adoption of European culture and religion was imposed in very violent and authoritarian ways.

All colonies, including sub-Saharan Africa, already had a population established and organized according to their customs and religion. This population was different from what Europeans considered "civilized", but we cannot deny, that the natives had their own type of civilization that functioned efficiently between their citizens and their territory.

However, Europeans considered themselves the owners of the truth, and the only ones endowed with knowledge and education. They totally ignored native civilizations and their cultures, considering them wild and impure, which needed European society to put them in what was right. They used this concept to justify all the violent exploitation and acculturation that the natives went through, because they believed that God had given them the mission to "fix" the peoples and end the civilization that was established in the place, without any consideration.

What was the Aliied strategy for World War || ?
natima [27]

Answer:

D.)The U.S. would focus on the Pacific while the other Allies focused on Europe.

Explanation:

This doesn´t mean the United States was not seriously involved in the war in Europe. Combined US and Allied forces invaded Italy in 1943 to knock that country out of the war and put pressure on Germany from the south, and there was an American buildup in Britain for the big invasion that finally occurred on D-Day in June 1944. Nevertheless, the Pacific War was mainly a US effort against the Japanese, where no major European allied power was significantly engaged until 1945.

Are the teukegee syphilis study and diethylstilbestrol study on pregnant women unethical? Why?
Tresset [83]

Answer:

Yes, they were unethical.

Explanation:

Yes, the Tuskegee syphilis study and diethylstilbestrol study on pregnant women were both unethical because it is illegal and inhuman to conduct medical experiments on humans without informed consent and agreement.

Both these two experiments were conducted without informing the patients of what actually they were being prescribed and observed for.

In the case of Tuskegee syphilis study, the patients were told that they were being observed and treated for deficient blood while in diethylstilbestrol study on pregnant women, most of them weren't even informed of the experiment. Therefore, these studies were completely unethical human experimentation.
