The Exposition: The exposition of the story is when we learn that Waverly Jong (the narrator), lives in Chinatown. and how she relates with her family. The climax of the story is when Waverly ran away from home when her mother was taking pride in her. This is the climax because it is the turning point of the story. here is the height of tension where the reader wonders wether Waverly can survive on her own.
The rising action of the story is when Waverly returns home and her mother used the silence treatment on her.
The falling action of the story is when waverly was running and find out that she could not live independently nor completely avoid her family. she said "I ran until it hurt and i realized i had nowhere to go, that i was not running from anything."
