Hii so I will help you with question 5 because I’m not sure about my answers for number 4
But I’m pretty positive about number 5 it was easy so: 1st step is we need to find how much the faucet fills the bucket per hour then multiply it by three in that way we know how many gallons of water will there be in 30 hours :
21 divided by 7 = 3 gallons of water per hour
So 3 x 30 = 90 gallons of water in 30 hours
So that’s the whole thing I hope you got the whole idea and my explaining was good enough ☺️

Answer for number 4:

4. It will take them 3.5 hours on the fourth day.

Alright, so this is a multistep problem.

1. We need to calculate how many miles they have already traveled.

In order to do that, we multiply the number of hours by the average speed on each day.

- On day 1, they drove 5 hours at an average of 70 mph. 5 * 70 = 350, so they drove 350 miles on the first day.

- On day 2, they drove 7 hours at an average of 65 mph. 7 * 65 = 455, so they drove 455 miles on the second day.

- 350 miles + 455 miles = 805 miles, so they've driven 805 miles so far.

2. We need to figure out how far they have left to travel.

They started out with 1,050 miles, so they've got 245 miles left. 1,050 - 805 = 245.

3. We need to figure out how many hours they've got left to drive.

On the third day, they drive at an average speed of 70 mph, and they've got 245 miles left. to find the amount of time they need to drive, we divide the distance by the speed.

245 miles ÷ 70 mph = 3.5 hours. Therefore, it will take them 3.5 hours to reach their friend's home.

Answer For Number 5:

10 gallons of water will leak out in 30 hours.

This question involves unit rates.

1. We need to figure out how much water leaks out per hour.

- Since 7 gallons of water will leak out in 21 hours, we divide the amount of water by the amount of time it took for it to leak out. The answer will be how much water leaks out in an hour.

- 7 gallons ÷ 21 hours = 1/3 gallon of water. Now we have our unit rate. Every hour, 1/3 gallon of water leaks out.

2. We need to figure out how much water will leak out in 30 hours.

- Since we know how much water leaks out in 1 hour, we can easily figure out how much water leaks out in 30 hours. All we need to do is multiply how much water leaks out in one hour by 30!

- 1/3 gallon * 30 hours = 10 gallons of water.

Therefore, 10 gallons of water will leak out in 30 hours.

I hope this helps!

Solve –2k + 12 < 30 for k.
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

k > -9

Step-by-step explanation:

Subtract 12 from both sides as we want to isolate k-

30 - 12 = 18

-2k < 18

Divide both sides by -2

18/-2 = -9

k > -9

20 balloons have to be devided between a group A and Group B in the ratio 2:3. How many balloons will each group receive?
AVprozaik [17]

Answer:

There are 8 and 12 balloons for groups A and B, respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio 2 : 3 means that there are 2 balloons in group A for each 3 balloons in the group B. The amounts of balloons asigned to each groups are determined by the following formulas:

Group A

n_{A} = \frac{2}{2+3}\cdot (20)

n_{A} = 8

Group B

n_{B} = \frac{3}{2+3}\cdot (20)

n_{B} = 12

There are 8 and 12 balloons for groups A and B, respectively.
