Answer: A) Passage 1 uses a logical approach, while passage 2 contains appeals to emotion.

Explanation: when writing an argument with the goal of trying to convince an audience of an opinion (usually about a controversial topic), there are many different rhetorical devices that we can use, but two of the most common are appealing to logic and appealing to the audience's emotions. The first passage uses a more logical approach, explaining the benefits the use of school uniforms could have in the students' education. On the other hand, the second passage uses an appeal to emotion, by expressing the negative impact on the students' individuality that uniforms would cause.

Even though the first passage isn't completely logical, since its arguments are basically hypotheses, the second passage appeals mostly to the emotion of the reader, therefore, the right answer is the first option:

Passage 1 uses a logical approach, while passage 2 contains appeals to emotion.

"When Miss Emily Grierson died, our whole town went to her funeral: the men through a sort of respectful affection for a fallen
Margaret [11]

I think this story is told in a witty and interesting way since it started where it should have finished with the funeral of the main character to create intrigue. Emily was somehow weird when the story said that there was hair on the pillow which meant that she slept next to him when he was dead.

What is the climax in Our Town happens when Emily returns from the dead to celebrate her twelfth birthday?

The climax in Our Town happens when Emily returns from the dead to celebrate her twelfth birthday. She observes herself and other people living the life routine and she realizes that no one is seizing the day, no one values what they have.

Thus, this could be the answer.

Rus_ich [418]
Alleged madness

The passage from Act 3 Scene 4 has the recurring idea of alleged madness. First, Olivia, Maria, Sir Toby and Fabian were all making Malvolio seem crazy and devil-possessed with his snobbery and arrogance. Then, the passage shows Olivia desperately in love, thinking she is like Malvolio--going mad. Lastly, Antonio's friendship to Sebastian ( who was actually Cesario) was introduced. Antonio was made to seem mad from his misdirected loyalty.
