Answer:

When Lana dyes her hair at home, she make (replace make with “makes“) sure to open the window for fresh air.

Explanation:

In this sentence, it only makes sense to use the 3rd person present form of “make” instead of “make“ itself, creating a new and corrected sentence; When Lana dyes her hair at home, she makes sure to open the window for fresh air.

B. Subject and verb disagreement

When Lana dyes her hair at home, she MAKES sure to open the window for fresh air.

The original sentence says “make sure” which is not correct because it disagrees with the subject (Lana, which is a singular subject) the subject and verb must agree in terms of quantity. If the subject is SINGULAR, the verb must be SINGULAR too.

Hope this helps!

Verdich [7]

It is suggesting that the rain is coming down very heavily. The rain is a deluge, soaking everything with large, heavy, water-filled droplets quickly falling. The is based off the original idiom "It's raining cats and dogs" to indicate that it is pouring rain. It takes the hyperbole one step farther to add heavier and larger animals to show the amount of rainfall.
