Answer:

  • 0.87°C

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Given data:</u>

  • 3.24, -3/8, -0.15, 7/9

<u>Sum up the data and find the average:</u>

  • (3.24 - 3/8 - 0.15 + 7/9)/4 ≈ 0.87°C

  • Given Temperatures =3.24°C,-3/8°C,-0.15°C,7/9°C
  • Total temperatures=4

Average=Sum of Temperatures/No of Temperatures

\\ \sf\longmapsto \dfrac{3.24-\dfrac{3}{8}-0.15+\dfrac{7}{9}}{4}

\\ \sf\longmapsto 0.87°C

P: grass is green or Q: 3 is the square root of 10 (P ∨ Q)
Inga [223]
P v Q is a disjunction, which is true whenever P or Q is true or both are true. P v Q is false only when P and Q are both false.

You know that Q is false, because 3 is not the square root of 10, so the only possibility for P v Q be true is that P is true.

If that is the case, you have this relation:

T F ---> T

which means True and False imply True

What is the recursive formula for this geometric sequence?–2, –16, –128, –1024, ...
Tatiana [17]

Answer:

b_n=-2\cdot 8^{n-1}

Step-by-step explanation:

Denote first four terms of the geometrc sequence as

b_1=-2,\\ \\b_2=-16,\\ \\b_3=-128,\\ \\b_4=-1024.

Note that

b_2=b_1\cdot q\Rightarrow -16=-2\cdot 8;\\ \\b_3=b_2\cdot q\Rightarrow -128=-16\cdot 8;\\ \\b_4=b_3\cdot q\Rightarrow -1024=-128\cdot 8.

Then the common ratio is

q=8.

Therefore, the recursive formula for the geometric sequence is

b_n=b_1\cdot q^{n-1}\Roghtarrow b_n=-2\cdot 8^{n-1}.

Explain how you know wether an estimate of a product is an overstimate or an underestimate
White raven [17]
Estimation is the process of making quick mental calculation of a value, quantity, or number.

We basically do estimation every day of our lives.
For example, we want to order several pizzas. We know that each pizza costs between $5 to $10. We order 3 pizza pies; Pie 1 = $6; Pie 2 = $8; Pie 3 = $9.

In getting an estimate, we either overestimate or underestimate. We know that whether a product of an estimate is overestimated or underestimated by the direction of the rounded up numbers.

We overestimate, when we round up the numbers
We underestimate, when we round down the numbers.

Overestimate: $10 x 3 pizza = $30 total cost
Underestimate: $5 x 3 pizza = $15 total cost

Actual cost: $6 + $8 + $9 = $23

In estimating expenses, it is better to overestimate. This gives us an allowance when incidental expenses incur.

In estimating income, it is better to underestimate. It gives us a more realistic value of the income.
