Why did many Americans support isolationism? How did Congress and FDR respond?
Alinara [238K]
They supported isolationism because no one in their right mind wants to go to war. They wanted to stay on their continent and not participate in European controversy. FDR want to get involved because he could help rebuild Europe afterwards and this would enable the US to establish trade deals with Europeans and accumulate a lot of wealth for the country.

What country do u believe the industrial revolution started?
nadya68 [22]

Answer:

The official birthplace of the industrial revolution is Britain. At the time, they were one of the most innovative countries in the world. This is because they had capital (money), harbors and docks for shipping, a population that was able to work in factories, and many roads/rivers for transporting goods. The industrial revolution spread to other countries like the United States.

2 methods for ratifying an amendment and the number of times used.
salantis [7]

Answer:

Well, I answered your question before but this would not be the same from before :)

An amendment can be proposed by either a two-thirds vote of both houses of Congress or by a constitutional convention called by Congress at the request of the legislatures in two-thirds of the states. The constitutional convention method has never been used to propose an amendment.amendments are proposed by. Both houses of congress passing it by a 2/3 vote. 2/3 of state legislatures requested a national convention to make an amendment.amendments are ratified by. 3/4 of the state legislatures ratifying it. For a cloture: 16 senators must sponsor the bill.Article V of the Constitution prescribes how an amendment can become a part of the Constitution. While there are two ways, only one has ever been used. All 27 Amendments have been ratified after two-thirds of the House and Senate approve of the proposal and send it to the states for a vote. Then, three-fourths of the states must affirm the proposed Amendment. One of the main reasons for the 1787 Convention was that the Articles of Confederation required the unanimous consent of all 13 states for the national government to take action. This system had proved unworkable, and the newly written Constitution sought to address this problem.

Hope that was helpful.Thank you!!!

Which of the following statements about the history of New Zealand and Australia is NOT correct? Aborigines are the original inh
jonny [76]
The best answer to the question above would be the last statement. The statement 'The British explorer Sir Walter Raleigh explored New Zealand and Australia in the 1700s and claimed the lands for Britain' is the only statement in the choices that does not hold any truth.
