An infinitive is the base form of a verb plus the simple form of the Verb.

Further Explanation:

The infinitive form is the word to plus the simple form of a verb. When two or more verbs are placed to each other along with actions in a sentence, The verb which comes after or the second verb should be in the infinitive form most of the times and in only a few instances it is in participle form. There can be some instances when these sentences are formed with no difference in the meaning, but there are no rules which are applied in order to know which form of the verb is required.

"The verb which must be followed by an infinitive is “want” and it can’t be followed by any participle.

 1. She wants to buy new clothes.
 2. He likes to dance.

Infinitive verbs are the verbs that you generally see in the dictionaries. The Infinitive form of verbs is always preceded by the word ‘To’.

What was one of the scariest situations you've been in? Did you recover? ( mentally/physically )
den301095 [7]

Answer:

This is an opinion question that only you can answer.

Explanation:

It doesn't even have to be very scary. It could just be the time you got lost in a mall and were separated from your parents for a few minutes. It just has to be something that happened to you in real life that kind of freaked you out.

Then, write about if you recovered from it. How did you get better?

timurjin [86]

Answer:

It would show that you didn't just read something from one source and believed it. When researching it is good to read around and see different results or if the information may be the close to what you gathered elswhere etc.
