In the grid below, each number can be obtained through the sum of the two numbers connected directly below it. For instance, in

the last row, the 5 is the sum of the two numbers below it, 2 and 3. Using the same method, all the numbers starting from the bottom row sums all the way up to the final square, 2x. Determine the value of x if the number in the topmost square is double unknown number in the bottom row.

5 0

Answer:

x = -12.

Step-by-step explanation:

Number in the square next to  5 =  3+x.

Number to the right of this one = x + 1

From left to right the umbers in the second row = 5 + 3 + x

and 3 + x + x + 1

= x + 8 and 2x + 4.

So x + 8 + 2x + 4 = 2x

so 3x + 12 = 2x

x + 12 = 0

x = -12.

A researcher interested in Springfield citizens' shopping habits surveys a randomly selected group of 200 Walmart shoppers. 76%
luda_lava [24]

Answer and Explanation: The results of the survey would not be accurate to the whole of springfield, as the sample was not a random sample. A random sample is where each person in a given area (Springfield in this case) has an equal chance of being surveyed. In this case, only walmart shoppers were surveyed. Therefor, the results can only apply to shoppers at walmart, not the whole of Springfield.

Maddie converts z = 8(cos(300°) + isin(300°)) into rectangular form z = a + bi and determines that a = 4 and b = 4 StartRoot 3 E
Anastaziya [24]

Answer:

Option C) The value of a is correct, but the value of b is incorrect.

Step-by-step explanation:

z = 8(cos(300°) + isin(300°))

z = 8cos(300°) + 8isin(300°)

z = 4 + i(-4\sqrt{3})\\z=4-i(4\sqrt{3} )\\

So we can see that a = 4 which is correct but b = -4\sqrt{3} and b in the question says it is b 4\sqrt{3} so its incorrect so Option C is your answer.
