Answer:

The first question is the third choice. Divide by two to get proper squaring. Anytime there is a number in front of the x in a situation like that, always divide by that number on both sides first. Then go from there.

The second question is also the third choice. The square root of 64 is 8. It can't be negative because square rooting is always positive unless you want a weird "i" in there. That's for algebra 2 and beyond so don't worry about it mate.

Billy is constructing a garden divided into 8 equal sections. The diameter of the garden is 12 feet. What is the area, in square
pishuonlain [190]

If the diameter of the garden is 12 ft, then the radius is 6 ft.

The area is then π(6 ft)^2, or 36 ft^2.

Then the area of one of the 8 equal sections of the garden is 36/8 ft^2, or 9/2 ft^2, or 4.5 ft^2.

Find an equation of the line containing the points (-5,7) and (-5,8). Express your answer in slope intercept form.
alexdok [17]
Try, pls, this:
1. Note, that for the both points x₁=x₂=-5, it means line is vertical, that is equation form is x=a, where a=number.
2. The number for 'a' may be extracted from points, a=-5.
3. Equation for line is x=-5.

I got this question wrong and I’m trying to correct it but i don’t know how it’s wrong or what the right answer is.
Korvikt [17]

Answer:

SAS

Step-by-step explanation:

   SSS, as you used, is incorrect because we only have two of the sides. Luckily, if we look at our theorems, one of them includes two sides!

   These triangles are prooven similar with SAS. We have to two of the sides that are similar (as you have showed with your work in the photo), and we also have an angle. This angle comes from the vertical angles that show up as our triangles share a point.

                   I hope this helps, have a nice day! :D

An equilateral triangle with side length 6 and an equilateral triangle with side length 15 determine whether the polygons are si
tino4ka555 [31]

An equilateral triangle with side length 6 is similar to an equilateral triangle with side length 15

Solution:

Given that we have to find whether the polygons are similar

An equilateral triangle with side length 6

An equilateral triangle is a triangle in which all three sides are equal

All three internal angles are also congruent to each other and are each 60°

Let ABC be a equilateral triangle with side length 6

Since all three sides are equal,

AB = 6

BC = 6

CA = 6

Also, angle A = 60 degrees and angle B = 60 degrees and angle C = 60 degrees

An equilateral triangle with side length 15

Let XYZ be a equilateral triangle with side length 15

Since all three sides are equal in equilateral triangle,

XY = 15

YZ = 15

ZX = 15

Also, angle X = 60 degrees and angle Y = 60 degrees and angle Z = 60 degrees

Two triangles are similar if they have the same angles and the side lengths are proportional.

Since,

\frac{AB}{XY} = \frac{BC}{YZ} = \frac{CA}{ZX} = \frac{6}{15} = \frac{2}{5}

Also,

Angle A = angle X = 60 degrees

Angle B = angle Y = 60 degrees

Angle C = angle Z = 60 degrees

Since equilateral triangles all have the same angles, and all side lengths are equal, any two equilateral triangles must be similar.
