Okay im finding them in the history section!
Answer: The importance of the “consent of the governed” is to make sure that citizens who are living in a/the country are included when it comes to decision making on their government and what they would like done to improve it. Without that, there would be many riots and protests going on if the citizens are unhappy with place that they live. Representative democracy allows for the citizens to elect those who has their best interest in mind when it comes to taxes, education, ect. Monarchy/Tyranny aren’t favored compared to Representative democracy because those who live in a country like and can have peace with the fact that they are in fact getting what they want/is best for them and their families. People represent themselves in a democracy, the royals represent themselves in a monarchy.

In what way is the War Powers Resolution an example of checks and balances?
Delicious77 [7]
The War Powers Act was added onto the previous law known as the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution. This resolution granted the president the power to take any steps towards protecting the United States from attack. The War Powers Act later made it a law for the president to consult with congress within 48 hours of sending troops into a foreign conflict.

This is an example of checks and balances because it is intended to prevent giving the president total war power.
