The Irish potato famine, also known as the "Great Hunger" began in 1845 and rapidly spread through out Ireland, being a central reason on why many Irish citizens had to immigrate to American and other nations. Caused by a fungus organism, the infestation ruined half of all the potato crops of that year and almost three quarters of the crops for the following seven years before the famine would end. Irish farmers relied heavily on the potato production, and because of the famine all of the Irish society suffered greatly, with over a million deaths caused by it and at least another million of citizens forced to move out of the country, many of whom went to live in America.

Which factor led Bosnian Serbs to commit acts of violence in Bosnia-Herzegovina?
OLga [1]

"Milosevic supported the independence movement of the Bosnian Serbs" factor led Bosnian Serbs to commit acts of violence in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Answer: Option C

Explanation:

The Balkan states which included Bosnia-Herzegovina and other states became part of the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia, following World War II. Shortly after the death of lengthy-time Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito in 1980, nationalism emerged among the various Yugoslav republics which attempted to disrupt their alliance.

After the mid-1980s, the cycle accelerated with the emergence of Serbian leader Slobodan Milosevic. The state of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Yugoslav republic achieved independence from Yugoslavia in April 1992. With the assistance of the Serb-dominated Yugoslav army, Bosnian Serb forces have committed horrendous crimes targeting Bosniak or Bosnian Muslim and Croatian citizens over the next several years, leading to the deaths of some 80% Bosnian by 1995.
