Generasi baharu hari ini mungkin kurang memahami akan pentingnya tarikh 16 September dalam catatan sejarah negara kita Malaysia. Tarikh 16 September 1963 adalah adalah detik bersejarah menyaksikan penyatuan Persekutuan Tanah Melayu bersama Sabah, Sarawak dan Singapura membentuk negara baharu bernama Malaysia. Walau bagaimanapun, Singapura telah keluar dari Malaysia pada tahun 1965. Penubuhan Malaysia menurut Perdana Menteri Persekutuan Tanah Melayu, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra al-Haj, perlunya diwujudkan satu persekutuan yang besar yang merangkumi Persekutuan Tanah Melayu, Borneo Utara (Sabah) dan Sarawak, Singapura dan Brunei ke dalam satu bentuk entiti politik dan ekonomi yang sama. Walaupun ia telah tinggal sejarah, tetapi kesan daripada peristiwa penubuhan Malaysia ini telah memberi seribu faedah kepada pembangunan agama, bangsa dan negara pada hari ini. please mark me as brainliest
