\huge \boxed{\mathfrak{Question} \downarrow}

  • Write an equation to represent the value of x in the figure given.

\huge \boxed{\mathfrak{Answer} \downarrow}

  • Given, < DAB = 46°
  • From the figure we can see that, < DAB = < DAC + < CAB ⇨ equation 1.
  • So, 46° = 3x° + 3x - 2° ⇨ equation 2.

Now, let's solve & find the value of x with equation 2.

\large \sf \: 46° = 3x° + 3x - 2° \\ \large \sf \:  46 = 6x - 2 \\ \large \sf \:46 + 2 = 6x \\ \large \sf \:48  = 6x \\ \large \sf \: \frac{48}{6}  = x \\ \large  \boxed{\bf \:8 = x}

the 41st term of the arithmetic sequence is -539 and the 54th term is -708. Find the value of the 80th term
yulyashka [42]

Answer:

a _{n} = a _{1} + (n - 1)d \\ a _{41} =  - 534 \\ a _{54} =  - 708 \\  a _{41} =  a _{1} + (41 - 1)d = - 534  \\  a _{1} + 40d = - 534 \:  \: ...(1)\\ a _{54} =  a _{1} + (54 - 1)d =- 708 \\ a _{1} + 53d = - 708 \:  \: ...(2)

Try to solve the similtanious equation to find the first term and the common difference, then use that information to figure out the 80th term... Update me if you need further help ...

17. x^2 + 2x + 1
valentina_108 [34]

Answer:

E. This polynomial could be factored by using grouping or the perfect squares methods.

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2 + 2x + 1

There is no greatest common factor

This is a perfect square

a^2 + 2ab+ b^2 = ( x+1)^2

We can factor this  by grouping

x^2 + 2x + 1

(x^2 +x) + (x+1)

x( x+1)  + x+1

Factor out x+1

( x+1)  ( x+1)

This is not the difference of squares since there is no subtraction
