So since your equation has x in miles, then change 3 and 4 from feet to miles by dividing them by 5280. then input each of those numbers into your formula.
example: 1. W = (190 * 4000^2)/ (4000 + 100)^2

if you are curious, your equation is derived from this: F(g) = G (m1)(m2)/(r^2)
where m1 and m2 are the two masses (the earth and the person) and r is the distance between, from center to center.

What is the order of operations to solve this problem?<br> 10 x 5 + 2 / 2 = 60
Slav-nsk [51]

Simply remember PEMDAS:

P = Parentheses

E = Exponents

M = Multiplication

D = Division

A = Addition

S = Subtraction

You perform these actions from left to right.

However in this case it is not possible for it to equal 60.

Use △DEF, shown below, to answer the question that follows:
Nikitich [7]
There are several ways to solve this, but the law of sines is probably the easiest...

Law of Sines:  sina/A=sinb/B=sinc/C  for any triangle...in this case we can say:

sin48/x=sin90/55

xsin90=55sin48

x=55sin48/sin90

x≈40.873  (to nearest one-thousandth, not sure which precision you needed)

Since 6ft is the width of walkaway

Hence:

Let increase in width  be 12

Let increase in length  be  12

Now let determine How many

more feet is the outer perimeter of the walkway than the perimeter of the pool

Outer perimeter Number of feets  = 2×(12+12)

Outer perimeter Number of feets  = 2×24

Outer perimeter Number of feets  = 48 ft

Inconclusion How more feet is the outer perimeter of the walkway than the perimeter of the pool is  48 ft
