Membrane bound cell organelles such as Mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, Chloroplasts are absent. A membrane bound well defined nucleus is absent. Genetic material is circular DNA and occurs naked in the cell cytoplasm. It is attached to the cell membrane and called nucleoid.
