What would be the patient’s response to a normal drug dose that because of a genetic variation in an enzyme that prepares the dr

ug for elimination results in a blood drug level that is below the minimum effective concentration (MEC)?

The intended response fails to be produced.*In order for a drug to produce its intended response, its blood levels must reach the minimum effective concentration. When enzymes responsible for metabolizing and preparing drugs for elimination are more active as a result of a genetic variation, sensitive drugs are eliminated more rapidly, and a "normal" dose may not be high enough to allow the drug to be retained long enough to reach the MEC.

Which of the following is a true statement about sexual vs. asexual reproduction? A. Asexual reproduction, but not sexual reprod
Afina-wow [57]

The correct answer is: B. In sexual reproduction, individuals transmit half of their nuclear genes to each of their offspring.

The main difference between sexual and asexual reproduction is that in sexual reproduction genetic material from two parents is combined, while in asexual reproduction produced offspring is genetically identical to the one parent. So, advantage of sexual reproduction is that produced unique organisms contribute to genetic diversity (variation is formed). But, comparing to asexual reproduction, sexual reproduction requires more energy and lasts longer.

Asexual reproduction is found in lower organisms and can be in different forms: budding, vegetative reproduction, fragmentation, spore formation.

Ques.what will happen if the stretch receptors of the urinary bladder wall are totally removed?

Which statement most likely describes the daughter cells produced in the diagram
Juliette [100K]

Answer:

The daughter cells will each produce offspring that will have the same genetic information as the original cell.

Explanation:

The diagram you were given is shown in the image attached below. The options you were given are the following:

  • The daughter cells will pass on only half of the genetic information they received from the original cell.
  • The daughter cells will each produce offspring that will have the same genetic information as the original cell.
  • The daughter cells will each undergo the same mutations as the original cell after reproduction has occurred.
  • The daughter cells will not pass on any of the genes that they received from the original cell.

The diagram shows what cell division looks like. Cell division is the process in which we get two daughter cells from one parent cell. When a cell divides, everything in it divides as well. This is how daughter cells end up with the same structure (e.g. same organelles) as their parent cell.

The daughter cells have the same genetic information as their parent cell. This means that the cells produced by these daughter cells will have the same genetic information as the original parent cell.

What makes water “neutral “ (pH of 7)
Mandarinka [93]

Answer:

Even in pure water ions tend to form due to random processes (producing some H+ and OH- ions). The amount of H+ that is made in pure water is about equal to a pH of 7. That's why 7 is neutral. ... In pure water near room temperature, the concentration of H+ is about 10-7 moles/liter, which gives a pH of 7.
