well, rap in the 1980s was not about......S^x or like talking about girls in certain ways or dr^gs or being raised in the streets but now most every rap songs are talking about all those topics! Rap back then was more like funky disco music everyone jammed out to y'know. MCs tasked with introducing the DJs and keeping the crowd energized would talk between songs, joking and generally interacting with the audience.
